Howdy All,

Amongst all the fun, we have a few things we need to take seriously.

Pulda Farms Field:

We recently had to install signs at the field warning it is for “Members Only”. This was due to the growing amount of non-members showing up at Pulda thinking it is a public field. Luckily we had club members present who where able to explain the situation. If you are at the field please be aware of this non-member situation. The rumor is someone from Heavenly Farms park is giving out bad information. We want to encourage these folks to join the club but we cannot allow them to use the field until they join.

Students:

Please do not attempt to fly without an instructor. I see student’s lately who have not been certified as “Solo” walking off the field with an airplane in pieces, not to mention it is against the club rules. If your instructor is not available we have many more. If you have not been assigned an instructor just say the word and it will be addressed immediately.

All Pilots:

Please do not take off, land, or fly over the pit and spectator areas with ANY flying machine.

Thanks,
Mike D.

So, I’m wound up about the 2015 picnic and anticipate a great day and loads of TCRC members and there family'sattending.

The spring and so far this summer have been generous with the number of clear sunny weekends for flying and attendance at the field has been growing as a result. The monthly fun fly events are becoming even more popular but I still would like to see more NEW FACES. We really have fun and if you have not yet come out for an event you should try. The twice-monthly night fly & pizza party is a good example of the growing success. At the last night fly fully half of those in attendance where first timers or members who just came to watch, hang out, have some pizza and BS with the guys.

FPV is fast becoming popular among the regulars at the field and upcoming fun fly's will include a division for FPV airplanes and copters, also future events will be planned specifically for this part of our hobby. This category of RC flying is not new to me but with many more folks getting involved, new and better systems and aircraft available it has suddenly become much more fun and very exciting. The TCRC web site now has an FPV page for those interested.  (still a work in progresshttp://www.tricountyrc.com/index.php/fpv-blog

I’m now adding in “Theme” day twice per month. This is not a fun fly but just a suggestion as to what type of aircraft you may want to bring with you to the field. For example; on August 8th we have “War-bird day” and there is no structured events, just a day where everyone who wants can bring war-bird’s. Future themes will include, “Scale day”, “Glow Day” “Old-ball airplane day”,  “Pattern day”, “Helicopter day”, “FPV day”, “Electric day”, "3D day"and so on down the list until it repeats.

As usual, I want the member’s input and comments on anything and everything.

This is Fun, Get Out and Have Some,

Mike DiGennaro

Get out and enjoy your hobby.

See you at the field,

Mike DiGennaro.

 Hi Folks,

The month of May has seen the TCRC club off to a running start for the 2015 season. We have our new fence and bulletin board installed at the field and Larry Kosinar constructed two new fantastic run stands.  The weather has been good and I’m hoping more members will attend one or more of our numerous flying events.

I want to congratulate Rich Rodriguez into the instructor ranks and Tony Caracciolo as our new flight coach and to acknowledge their commitment to helping others.  Its members like them that make me proud to belong to our club. Thanks Guys!

June 6th is the open house at Old Bridge airport. Last year was a good day but with only Larry and myself it was a little too much for twp guys. Please call me if you come, I promise you have fun.  June 27th is the TCRC RC auction and we need all the help we can get. Its not hard work its mostly just collecting money and moving airplanes around. Pleas call Alex if you can help.

Lastly, I renew my challenge to every member. If you have an idea for an event or any other suggestions for club activities I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. No idea is too crazy!

Remember; its fun, come out and have some!

Mike D.

Hey All,

The April work party had our great members help with the field and road repairs and I thank them all for the hard work. The club also owes its gratitude to members Chris Orban and Chris Cirillo for providing the machines and for running them all day to fix the road. What a great group of guys we have!

May brings us into the start of our busy season for club events! Wow we have lots of great stuff coming up! The Pulda Farms field is getting better every day. The new fence should in place soon and our field commander Rick Criqui has installed new windsocks a great new windsock pole that was donated by our very own Frank Kopitski and Rick has also started the install on a bulletin board.

Thanks to Alex our June 27th club auction is progressing at a fever pitch and we will have free club tee shirts for all those members who volunteer to help. Many grateful thanks from all of us to our Vice President Larry Kosinar for driving to Washington DC in order to deliver the plaque we made for Dr. Peter Jakab at the Smithsonian air & space museum in person. I guess that is all I have this time around.

See you at the field. Remember; its fun, come out and have some!

Mike D.
